Tap the three-line menu button at the top left, then select Waste. IPhone and iPad users can delete all Trash items at once, but this requires the Google Drive app. Whether to delete the file permanently or remove it from the trash, use the small menu button next to the document to select erase forever either Restore. If you’re looking for other types of files, repeat these first two steps in the Google Drive app. You may notice that unlike the desktop version, you will only find your deleted documents here. With the Google Docs app open, tap the menu at the top left. You can access the Trash to delete individual documents permanently or delete them to prevent automatic deletion, but you can’t empty the entire folder at once (unless you’re using Google Drive on iPhone or iPad – see instructions below). If you can’t find the document you want to restore, it may not have been deleted. You can select more than one at a time by holding down CONTROL under Windows or Organized in macOS as you make your selection. To recover a deleted document, right click on it and choose Restore. To permanently delete everything in it, select empty trash can completely to the right and confirm with DELETE FOREVER. Use the menu on the left to select Waste. If Google Docs is already open, you can select the top left menu button and choose Conduct. Google automatically removes documents from the trash after 30 days.
